Hi friends! If you know me, you know I’m a huge fan of ABC’s The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. I’ve even planned a few of their weddings (my most recent was for the adorable Sean and Catherine). So for this year’s finale of ABC’s The Bachelorette, I teamed up with Wedding Paper Divas to host the cutest viewing party at my apartment in NYC. And our very special guest? Andi Dorfman – one of my favorite former Bachelorettes – from season 10!
It was a total blast and I had so much fun creating all the fun details with Wedding Paper Divas. Check out some photos below. Maybe they’ll inspire you to throw your own viewing party.
Upon arriving, guests were greeted with the most romantic ambience a la the “Fantasy Suite”! So funny, right? That’s a customized Shutterfly wall decal on my front door, which was really easy to apply and remove.
What’s a party without the perfect invite? The “Romantic Botanical” design from Wedding Paper Divas perfectly matches the rose theme of the entire ABC’s The Bachelorette franchise.
My apartment already has a gray and purple color scheme so we decided to bring in décor that complemented the existing colors. We got some custom pillows from Shutterfly with memorable phrases from the show. According to Chris Harrison (my fave), it’s always “the most dramatic finale ever” isn’t it?!
Some more fun pillows! Contestants are always on the show “for the right reasons.” The lavender and gray pillows made a really cute – and comfy – addition to all the décor.
We had a variety of cocktail napkins and coasters from Wedding Paper Divas. These are cute, inexpensive ways to add some pizazz to your event. The napkins said fun things like “Team JoJo,” “For the Right Reasons,” “The Toughest Decision Yet,” and “Cheers to Finding Love.” The disposable coasters were stamped with “Team Jordan” and “Team Robby.” Who were you rooting for?
You can’t have a viewing party for ABC’s The Bachelorette without lots and lots of wine flowing! We made custom wine glasses on Shutterfly. This one says “Team JoJo” because, in the end, that’s who we were all really rooting for.
We had a variety of food for all our hungry viewers. Veggies and dip, pita bread, hummus, different salads, chicken and, of course, yummy desserts. One piece of advice for viewing parties: opt for food that doesn’t need a lot of babysitting and that guests can serve themselves. Cold, low-stress foods are best in this case – you’ll want to enjoy the show instead of slaving away in the kitchen heating up your culinary creations!
During commercial breaks, guests were treated to Bachelorette-themed manicures by Monica Hues. What makes a manicure “Bachelorette themed” you ask? Think really fun nail decals of things like engagement rings, hearts, wine glasses and, of course, roses.
OK, this is one of my favorite details. On their way out, we gave guests gift bags filled with goodies like rose-shaped candies, rose-themed stationery from Wedding Paper Divas, nail decals and more. The best part? The Wedding Paper Divas tag on the bag that says “take a moment to say your goodbyes.” Ha!
Of course, we always bring everything back to weddings! I created two vignettes predicting what the winning couple’s wedding could look like. If Robby were the winner (sob), I envisioned a glamorous, 1920s-inspired wedding for him and JoJo – being the dapper guy that he is. Wedding Paper Divas Chic Hexagon invitation would’ve been perfect for them.
I think JoJo and Chico boy Jordan’s wedding will have a vintage rustic flair. Lots of creams and greens with fine China and farm-to-table California fare in an outdoor setting. Wedding Paper Divas Captivating Wreath invite really captures that vibe.
And, finally, here’s Andi and I with the group enjoying the final moments of the most dramatic finale ever! Now we’re waiting for the next Bachelor to be announced…we think Chris Harrison would be perfect! Don’t you?!
Hope this fun details have inspired you for your next soiree – whether it be a casual viewing party for your favorite TV event…or your own wedding!
