Hi friends! Celebrity weddings are always a hot topic around here and I love predicting the themes and styles stars might choose for their big day. But I recently got to thinking…we’ve got a number of celebs coming up on milestone anniversaries, so why not think about vow renewals?
Here are five iconic couples that I’d love to see renew their vows in the near future and what I think their celebration might look like. Of course, none of this is rooted in any fact, but it’s fun to dream isn’t it?
Beyoncé and Jay-Z
I see this iconic couple having a very intimate and private ceremony in a stunning location like Corsica, France. Décor would be all white with tons of luminescent candles and elegant accents of gold. (Pictured: Shimmering Speckles invitation by Wedding Paper Divas)
Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick
When I think of this couple (who are coming up on their 20 year anniversary!) I immediately think New York City chic. A black-tie celebration at the Rainbow Room in NYC with glitzy, metallic décor and energetic jazz music would be the perfect fit. (Pictured: Elevated Romance invitation by Wedding Paper Divas)
Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.
I see Sarah and Freddie taking inspiration from their 2002 beach wedding in Mexico by heading to another tropical locale for their vow renewal, but this time with some modern flair. I envision flowing white linens, lush white florals and décor with accents of soft blue. (Pictured: Opulent Lines invitation by Wedding Paper Divas)
David and Victoria Beckham
David and Victoria had a grand, over-the-top wedding back in 1999 but their current style is much more minimalist. For a vow renewal, I see them holding a very private – but chic! – celebration in London. Crisp and sleek décor would have touches of rose gold and modern accents. I’d also love to see Victoria in a blue pleated silk organza gown! (Pictured: Simply Captivating invitation by Wedding Paper Divas)
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson
With a 28-year-long relationship, can you say #couplegoals? An outdoor rustic celebration at the Central Park Boathouse would be perfect for these two. The ceremony would overlook the park with dark woodsy décor, bright florals and illuminating Edison lights. (Pictured: Floral Surroundings invitation by Wedding Paper Divas)
Who says you can’t celebrate your marriage in a big way years down the road? Vow renewals – no matter how simple or extravagant – are a sweet way to commemorate your lasting love.
