Hi friends! Believe it or not, it’s actually fairly important to consider what the groom and his men look like on the wedding day! Whether you opt for a tuxedo, suit or other form of attire mainly depends on the formality of the wedding and the setting but here are a few major don’ts for menswear on your wedding day:
- Don’t wear socks that are too short. When you sit down and cross your legs, there shouldn’t be any skin exposed so make sure your socks come up to your calves. While theoretically the dress socks should match the pant color, I’m seeing more grooms and groomsmen have some fun with their socks – donning fun patterns or colors. Matching dress socks also make a great groomsmen gift!
- Don’t wear a belt with formal clothing. Opt for suspenders instead if you need to hold up your pants.
- Don’t overaccesorize. While I love a good pair of cuff links or a signature kerchief, less is more when it comes to accessories for menswear. Limit jewelry and other unnecessary accessories to avoid looking too flashy.
Follow these simple rules and you’re bound to look dapper on the big day!
