How could I miss this?

October 21st, 2008

Hi Friends, So I had one of my brides tell me that I left something out of my book…ahhhhhhh five years of writing and I left out a situation that could be sticky. Oh boy this is a tough one…but as politely as you can explain to your friend (s) that  you want to include them in another way. They can do a reading, help with programs, you can even invite them to your bridesmaid luncheon or include them in special gatherings that the others will be at. Most of all be honest, and dont wait till the last minute to let these friends know. It would make the situation worse if they hear everyone has been called and you were just avoiding the situation…after you tell them …let go and continue to plan away! Unfortunately sometimes you see different personalities come out during your wedding planning…stay positive and don’t let anyone ruin your experience! Would love to know if anyone has a better suggestion or experienced this situation..xoxox Mindy

Nighty Night

October 5th, 2008

Hi Friends,

So I was just thinking about what would be fun to write…I always see the bride and groom as they leave their wedding. They are usually exhausted, sometimes they had too much to drink or so happy to throw off their shoes and collapse. But wouldn’t it be just icing on the cake if you, the bride actually puts on the gorgeous lingerie you bought or received just for the wedding night? Often we give up tradition for an extra drink. The wedding night is part of the whole experience. (Hey I know most of you all live together)..but I have so many Brides and Grooms that separate the week of the wedding just to have that romantic Honeymoon night together. Even if you can’t imagine staying up one more hour,

make it special, re-fresh your make-up let your hair down and start your new life together with passion, love and unity.
