Hi! I just love oversized props in the right environment! This entrance canopy was smal but by adding this large mirror it felt so spacious and gave the bride a primping place before her grand entrance
! If you cant find one to rent, you would be surprised how many large mirrors they sell at flea markets and second hand shops for great prices!. The frames can always be painted to match your decor. This idea will “reflect” your good taste…oh I know so corny! xoxox Mindy
Come Fly with me….
Hi Friends! Wanted to show you these beautiful butterfly seating cards. We created a willow tree and clipped the butterflies on the branches. It looked so whimsical and inviting. The guests will never know how long it took to place all these butterflies alphabetically on the branches. It does take a bit longer to give them out and find the names but it sure looks good….remember to weigh your priorities …sometimes being creative and unique can cause a bit of a back-up but once they realize what they are waiting for they will have lasting memories forever. You can have your Cake and eat it to!
This cake was designed by Sam Godfrey of Perfect Endings, perfectendings.com …I Love him and we are very dear friends. even though he is located in Napa, California when I can, I get him to deliver his cakes to my events in Los Angeles. He even flew the wedding cake over to Paris for Eva Longoria and Tony Parker’s Wedding…DE-LICIOUS! This cake in the picture was inspired by the brides wedding gown which had a large bow tied around her waist. There are so many places to get inspiration for your wedding cake….a special detail from your wedding gown, the lace pattern on your dress, the color theme of your wedding, your favorite flower even borrowing vintage ideas from your parents cake. The other cake company I LOVE is The Cake Divas…located in Los Angeles, Cakedivas.com. They can create just about anything you can imagine from castles to cupcakes. Believe me I have ordered cakes the day before the event (even sometimes the same day!) and they are just as beautiful as if you ordered them 3 months before! Don’t let the girls know I told you about their last minute creations…I know I drive them a bit crazy when I wait too long to order…:) Sweet Dreams…Mindy
