So I was just thinking about what would be fun to write…I always see the bride and groom as they leave their wedding. They are usually exhausted, sometimes they had too much to drink or so happy to throw off their shoes and collapse. But wouldn’t it be just icing on the cake if you, the bride actually puts on the gorgeous lingerie you bought or received just for the wedding night? Often we give up tradition for an extra drink. The wedding night is part of the whole experience. (Hey I know most of you all live together)..but I have so many Brides and Grooms that separate the week of the wedding just to have that romantic Honeymoon night together. Even if you can’t imagine staying up one more hour,

make it special, re-fresh your make-up let your hair down and start your new life together with passion, love and unity.

I’m back on the road with “The Wedding Book” the Big Book for your Big Day! First stop I went to Atlanta and had a great time at a darling store called Swoozies. They not only carry my Mindy Weiss products but the store is filled with the cutest holiday items and very unique monogramed gifts for any occasion. I love anything monogramed! Next off to Birmingham, Alabama where I was invited to a very chic Wedding Gown shop called Carriage House Weddings. Caroline and all her beautiful girls welcomed me to their city and hosted a lovely book signing thanks again! I was a guest on The Ellen Show! I was honored to be Ellen and Portia’s Wedding Planner for their Wedding on August 16th. They were so generous to invite me on the show as a guest. Todays show featured some of their wedding pictures and a very touching video…and as part of the wedding segment she invited me to talk about the wedding and my new book. The Wedding Book….Ellen gave the book to all her guests and just because of the show and Ellen saying that she liked the book it went to #1 on Amazon in the Planning and Wedding category! Very exciting! I feel so lucky! And yes I danced with Ellen…I share her love of Dancing!

Have you ever wonder how they grow this enormous flower? They don’t! It is handmade! The florist starts with one single rose which is glued on a circular piece of styrofoam and then takes individual petals and hot glues them one by one to form one large flower. It is called a Glamelia (I think that is how to spell it :) ) and it is one of my favorite bouquets. Ask your florist if they have made one before…if not for your bouquet it looks great as a centerpiece or on cocktail tables.

The bride gave the florist a picture of something she loved…(always great to tear out pictures you get inspiration from) The feathers are my favorite. It really is unique and yet not too overwhelming…the bride should be the focus and the bouquet like a piece of jewelry.

I found some black velvet ribbon at a flee market (I try to go every sunday) and just tied a knot around the napkin. The couple loved lily of the valley so we placed a sprig under the ribbon. We also included a menu with a design that we pulled off the invite and tucked it under the napkin. Simple and pretty and the couple loved it…..
