The holidays will be here before you know it! When I decorate clients’ homes for the season, I start planning the design as early as August. While you can pull ideas together at the last minute, it’s fun to plan ahead and shop for a few new seasonal items each year. So what design ideas will I be installing in homes this holiday? Each client and property is uniquely different. Just like snowflakes, no two designs are the same. That being said, I am seeing a few trending requests that I love the look of this year. These are my holiday decorating color trends for 2019. How will you be decking your halls?
Jewel tones everywhere! Instead of traditional Christmas red and green, we’re installing decorations in jewel tone colors. The moody look is more sophisticated and versatile when working in a home with decor already around each room.
Metallic gold. Metallics will always be popular holiday hues and this year, gold is the IT color! Use it in ornaments, trim on glassware or even add it in with your gold flatware. Gold is white hot this holiday!
Deep burgundy. I love a rich color like deep burgundy and it’s perfect for winter. This color seems to be trending in homes across the country this season – and it’s something you can use from Thanksgiving through the New Year!
What colors will you use this holiday season?
