5 Ideas for Wedding Nail Inspiration

Fashion Trends & Great Finds

There are many ways to accessorize on your wedding day. One way to express yourself is through your nails. If you know me, you know how much I love getting my nails done each and every week. I don’t feel like me without the perfect color for my personality. On your wedding day, don’t be afraid to show your personality through the colors and designs you choose. Gone are the days of the required traditional French manicure! Here are 5 ideas for your wedding nail inspiration to make your look uniquely you!

Choose the perfect color for you!

Swap out the French manicure for an all white look. This is a great way to complement your dress and keep your nails simple and bridal for a subtle look. I absolutely love Essie nail polish. Here are a couple of my recommendations for white: blanc or pearly white.

Use your nails as your something blue. Choose your favorite hue and make your nails a part of the something old, something borrowed, and something blue tradition. If you don’t want to commit to 10 blue nails, add a blue detail or make your ring finger nail blue to stand out!

Match your nails to your wedding color palette. This is a great way to keep your color scheme running throughout your decor as well as your accessories and entire look. You could even match your wedding nails to your bridesmaids’ dresses. Having your nails compliment your floral colors is a great way to make sure your pictures show a cohesive look.

Add some sparkle or a design!

Add a metallic element onto your nails for a little bit of sparkle. Silver, gold, bronze, or rose gold can be a fun way to match your jewelry and most importantly, your ring!

Finally, have a party nail! Add a subtle design to your ring finger to make it stand out even more. A neutral floral design or some shimmer can be beautiful ways to complement your main color.

On your wedding day, I do recommend nothing too loud, dark, or highly decorative. If that’s your style, then of course, lean into it. But if it’s not typically, then you might regret the look in photos. You want to stand out more than your polish!
