In that case, here are a few of the hottest West Coast destination wedding locations of 2020 to spark some ideas.
Los Cabos, Mexico
Cabo is a fantastic option if you’re looking to leave the country, but not go too far away from the western states. It’s a quick flight from California and an easy flight from many others too. There are a large amount of English speaking businesses that make Cabo a great spot if some of your guests are timid about traveling internationally. There are gorgeous beaches where your friends and family can bask in the sun. Snorkeling, sailing, and the other water activities available are wonderful options for group events either before or after your wedding. The dozens of luxury hotels and endless venue options are sure to provide you with your perfect wedding getaway. Napa Valley, CA
Winery weddings? Yes, please! Napa Valley, California is known for its vineyards with breathtaking views that make for amazing venues for rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, and receptions. Not only is this part of Northern California known for its wine, it’s also a hub for incredible cuisine. There are a variety of activities for you and your guests to partake in, including biking, hiking, hot air ballooning, and of course, wine tasting. If not all of your guests are into wine, there are also breweries and distilleries that make for hip venues. Napa is the perfect West Coast wedding location for a couple of foodies or wine drinkers too!
Lake Tahoe, CA or NV
Lake Tahoe is absolutely stunning with trees and mountain views all around. If you’re seeking spectacular backdrops for your wedding events and photos, Lake Tahoe will always deliver – summer to winter. This destination location is great for a couple that loves the outdoors and wants a nature-centric wedding. The photo above is from a wedding we produced in Lake Tahoe full of twinkle lights and candles amidst the green trees that created a truly magical atmosphere. You’re sure to have a beautiful, whimsical wedding in the woods if you choose to get married here.
Las Vegas, NV
Let’s not forget about the wedding capital, Las Vegas when talking West Coast wedding locations. Of course, you can have a quickie wedding in sin city but I’m seeing more and more couples opt for opulent “I do’s” in this mecca of food, entertainment, and experiences. You can have a dreamy destination wedding with any style you can imagine in Las Vegas. It’s also easy to get to, there are incredible vendors and creative partners to work with locally, and price points for all your guests seeking hotel rooms and activities. Las Vegas literally has it all.
Palm Springs, CA
Palm Spring, California is the old faithful of West Coast destination wedding locations. Its close proximity to Los Angeles makes it a popular (and easy to get to) spot. You can find a lot of fun decor and design here with a mid-century modern flare. Similarly to Lake Tahoe, Palm Springs provides gorgeous mountain backdrops, but with palm trees instead of pines. There are plenty of attractions and historical landmarks in Palm Springs for your guests to explore between events too.
If you love Southern California, but don’t want to venture out to Palm Springs, take a look at these Los Angeles wedding locations.
There are so many incredible destination wedding locations to choose from out west. If you’re looking to stay closer to home and not cross any oceans, perhaps you’ll consider one of these popular 2020 West Coast destination wedding locations.
