The moment you’ve been waiting for has finally arrived. The music starts, the guests stand, and suddenly you’re walking down an aisle lined with the people you love most, to stand beside your forever love. There’s no doubt that your grand entrance is one of the most special moments of the wedding ceremony. So it’s important that your aisle style is just as special. I’ve planned hundreds of weddings and the ceremonies are my favorite part. As I like to say: “without the ‘I Dos’ we wouldn’t have you!” I love combing through the archives and remembering every unique ceremony detail, so I thought I would share some of my favorites to inspire you in creating your own unique aisle style!

For this garden wedding with a gorgeous ocean backdrop we paired a clean and classic white aisle runner with white urns filled to the brim with roses and blue and white hydrangeas. There was also a scattering of petals on the aisle that led up to an elaborate hydrangea floral arch. So elegant, and who doesn’t love hydrangeas!

With a backdrop like this, you don’t need an arch or altar! For this amazing celebration in Coeur d’Alene, we used individual white rose stems to create an 80-foot aisle in the middle of a lawn overlooking the lake. Guests were seated on each side, facing each other, which created a really wonderful intimate feeling.

We rolled out the red carpet for this incredible fall wedding ceremony – quite literally! Arrangements of red flowers were placed all along the aisle, interspersed with candles, with an opulent red floral arch as the central focus. Hanging from the trees above were twinkling lights and crystal chandeliers – absolutely magical as the sun went down!

This Montecito wedding ceremony was a stunner! We installed a special oval-shaped garden for the ceremony, individually planting each white flower on the lawn so the couple and their guests were surrounded by white blooms. Flowers also lined the white aisle, leading up to the white floral arch. The perfect mix of modern style and whimsy!

Now this was a showstopper! The ceremony design for this destination wedding was so unique, with a circular floral arch that was part of a much larger geometric dome installation. What a feature! The aisle itself was a curved, organic shape, lined with white flowers and with a mirrored surface that reflected sea and sky. The bride said she felt like she was walking on water!

I’ll never get tired of fresh flowers as aisle décor. For this flower-filled garden wedding, we skipped the aisle runner in favor of a more natural grass aisle, lined with gorgeous blooms that flowed up into the square white floral arch. The greenery backdrop created an intimate, secret garden feel.

Speaking of amazing garden weddings, it was all about an enchanted garden feeling for this gorgeous couple! The ceremony took place in a friend’s backyard in Brentwood, with a view of the ocean beyond the double half moon arch. The arrangements were loose and organic, adding to the feeling of wild magic and romance.

This was one to remember! A nighttime ceremony with a lush, tropical greenery backdrop with candles in glass holders punctuating the leaves. Candles also lined the aisle and guests were seated on smoky black ghost chairs. The effect was masculine, modern, and ethereal. It perfectly set the scene for the 1950s Hollywood glamour-style reception where the grooms and their guests danced the night away in style.
Which of these aisle style ideas is your favorite?
