As another winter comes to an end, my thoughts are inevitably drawn to spring. Breezy weather, budding flowers, and that delicious feeling of rebirth and renewal. (All much needed at the moment!) Spring has also always been a beautiful time of year to get married and to begin the adventure of marriage together. So why not celebrate the season through your wedding details and décor? That doesn’t necessarily mean opting for a classic pastel palette, however! In fact, there are many ways to incorporate spring wedding ideas into your day. Here are a few of the sweetest for you to consider.
A fresh floral aisle. Make your ceremony feel like a spring meadow by lining the aisle with an abundance of fresh blooms. The more natural the arrangements, the better! What a wonderful walk up the aisle you will have, and your guests will be surrounded by fragrance.
Open-sided tents. Outdoor weddings and garden weddings are on-trend for 2021 and 2022, not least because they’re better for social distancing. Get the best of both worlds with a beautiful open-side tent that lets lots of fresh air (and those glorious views!) in for all your guests to enjoy!
Brunch weddings. Brunch weddings are also trending and what could be better than a spring brunch in the open air? Provide guests with pre-packed brunch boxes or mini picnic baskets, mimosas, and Bloody Marys, and enjoy the seasonal sunshine!
Whimsical crockery. Give your table a touch of English country garden charm by using pretty plates in floral or vintage prints. This looks particularly lovely for a spring wedding when placed on a simple raw wood table with lush floral centerpieces and perhaps a silk runner. It’s the perfect mix of rustic charm and classic refinement.
Mellow yellow. A beautiful, sunshiney yellow called ‘Illuminating’ is one of Pantone’s Colors of the Year for 2021. Spring is the perfect time to add yellow to your palette. It adds dimension to pastels and soft neutrals, and is also the perfect pick-me-up after what feels like the longest winter ever!
Enchanted garden bridal fashion. Garden-inspired gowns have been a highlight of the latest bridal collections. From floral embellishments and prints to embroidered butterfly motifs, designers are going all-in with secret garden fashion. It’s the perfect look for a spring bride.
Floral escorts. Spring is all about celebrating nature and you can bring that to little details like your escort card display. For example, tie seating assignments to little lavender posies. These can also serve as a favor and the gents can wear them throughout the evening. Place your escort card display in the area where guests will enjoy cocktail hour to prevent crowding just before the reception.
Now, don’t these spring wedding ideas add a spring to your step?
xoxo,
Mindy
