3 Stress-Free Ideas for Valentine’s Day

Hi friends! Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. It’s full of love and romance, after all. But I also understand it’s a day that comes with a lot of pressure for many couples – especially those of you that are engaged and are in the throes of wedding planning!

Don’t stress out! There’s always a special charm in having a low-key Valentine’s Day. Just put the wedding planning jitters aside and opt for one of these ideas:

  • Dinner at home. Restaurants are crowded and it can be a chore just finding a reservation on this holiday. Why not enjoy the night at home? Pop a bottle of your favorite wine and try cooking a fun new recipe together. Feel free to dress up to truly celebrate the occasion. Not quite your style? Get in your sweats and order a pizza! The important thing is spending the quality time with your loved one.
  • Write a love letter. If you’re preparing for an upcoming wedding, budgets are probably tight. Take advantage of the lost art of letter writing. Pour your heart out and plan to exchange these letters with your partner on Valentine’s night over some champagne. It’s ultra romantic. Plus, it’s free!
  • Go on a hike. If you’re the active type, go on a romantic hike. It’s a great way to get some fresh air and clear your head of all that wedding planning stress. You can end the hike with a charming picnic with a view. Or just go home and order Postmates. There’s no judgment here.

See? Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be a big production to be fun and romantic.

Enjoy!
