Fresh Floral Ideas for a Spring Wedding

Spring is, without a doubt, one of my favorite seasons for a wedding. Everything’s so romantic this time of year: trees and flowers in bloom, sunny mornings, and the feeling of promise and optimism in the air. When I think of a spring wedding, I think of an abundance of flowers. And no wonder, as spring is prime blooming season! This is when some of the loveliest wedding flowers are most plentiful, like tulips, peonies, anemones and ranunculus. But how can you infuse spring flowers into your big day in a way that feels fresh? Here are five floral ideas for spring weddings that I’m loving lately!

Include edible flowers on the menu. One of the biggest foodie trends at the moment, edible flowers are also making wedding tables extra pretty this spring and summer season! Use them as a garnish for your signature cocktail or wedding cake, or have your caterer pretty up a grazing table or dessert spread with them, even opt for a salad of edible flowers too!

Wear fresh flowers as accessories. Floral crowns are nothing new, but why limit yourself to wearing flowers in your hair? Bold spring brides are wearing flowers as necklaces or cuffs, or even incorporating as an accent into their wedding dress. How whimsical!

Use potted plants and flowers. I’m seeing more and more couples consider the sustainability of their wedding these days. Living plants are a beautiful, eco-friendly alternative to cut flowers, and having little terracotta pots on tables or lining an aisle is a lovely way to evoke that spring garden feel.

Incorporate pressed flowers. Pressed flowers are another pretty alternative to fresh blooms. For example, add them to wedding stationery, decorate glass or acrylic panes with them for menus and table numbers, or use them as a quick way to spruce up simple escort cards.

Give floral favors. Seed packets make a lovely seasonal favor for spring weddings. They can also double up as escort cards. Create a sweet garden-inspired display that your guests will love!

Add a touch of floral print. From linens to bridesmaid dresses or even the wedding dress, floral print makes the perfect spring statement. Pastel floral jumpsuits would make an adorable spring look for your bridesmaids!

What are your favorite spring wedding ideas?
