Los Angeles Wedding Locations We Love

It’s that time of year, couples touring oodles of wedding venues in search of their “perfect match.” But with such a rise in destination weddings, the entire globe is now an option. That, no doubt, can be daunting for brides and grooms. Since my company is based here in sunny Southern California, I thought I’d share a few Los Angeles wedding locations that we love to work at. There are a lot in this city; my list of favorites is long. But these few stand out as having great options for a variety of couples. If you’re considering getting married in Los Angeles, take it from me and check out these lovely properties.

If you’re hosting an intimate wedding or want your wedding for 200 to feel intimate, then I love Hotel Bel Air for your Los Angeles wedding location.

It’s just so magical with the gardens, the swans, pond, outdoor ceremony space and modern indoor event spaces. But what I love most about it is how intimate and private the property feels. It’s no wonder celebrities have been flocking here for generations. The quiet peacefulness is perfect for getting ready on the wedding day and you and your guests can take over the place to celebrate without paparazzi by night. And the menu is by Wolfgang Puck Catering so you know the food is delicious. Plus the team there is very conscientious, caring and thoughtful with everything they do. A wedding at Hotel Bel Air feels like a classic Hollywood event deeply routed in history with the modern twists of what couples today love in decor, design and presentation. The spaces are versatile and work for everything from an outdoor baby shower to a black tie wedding in the ballroom.

I love working at Hotel Bel Air and I’m excited to do more there in 2019! For more ideas from Hotel Bel Air, here’s a tented wedding we created and a baby shower that was lots of fun!

For larger parties and couples seeking a dramatic backdrop, something completely different, consider Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles.

This event space was once a grand cathedral. It was later purchased and turned into one of the most beautiful wedding locations in Los Angeles. They have a garden adjacent to the large-scale “ballroom” that’s perfect for an outdoor wedding ceremony. Inside you’ll find white marble, tall columns and high ceilings with alcoves for lounge areas beneath. There’s also a formal stage that is stunning with any band on it. Vibiana is not a religious venue anymore, in fact, it’s also a great place for corporate events too. Just like this Fox Emmy Awards party we produced both inside and out in the garden. If you’ve got a large guest count and like the idea of a city wedding, then Vibiana might just be exactly what you need. And it’s owned by Chef Neal Fraser so if you’re a foodie, you’re in luck here!

And a bonus, this wedding location isn’t a Los Angeles wedding location but ideal for a nearby, drivable destination wedding.

Just a few hours north of LA you’ll find yourself transplanted into a whole new world in Ojai. I love working there at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa, where they just debuted a brand new event venue! The Farmhouse is a state-of-the-art culinary inspired wedding location with an outdoor fireplace, courtyards filled with olive trees and indoor/outdoor celebration spots perfect for a wedding big enough for several hundred people. Set on 200 acres of bike-able property, you can golf, spa, cruise, even stop in at a pub at night on property and enjoy the laidback life in Ojai without ever leaving. Then tuck into a fireplace-clad cottage at night and you’ve picked a property that is primed for wedding day romance! To see more from Ojai, take a peek at this wedding we created under a tent (before the Farmhouse was built).

Where are you considering tying the knot? Are you touring any Los Angeles wedding locations this time of year?

xoxo,

Mindy
