It’s official, you’ve booked a venue! You’re well on your way to walking down the aisle, but I would recommend you keep the momentum going, and as a next step, get your save the dates in the mail. You’ll want every guest on your list to be able to celebrate with you, and informing them of the date and location months in advance is key to making that happen. A save the date does what its name implies—plus so much more: it establishes your aesthetic, gives guests a glimpse of what’s to come, and even becomes a keepsake to treasure later down the road. You’ll want this important piece of your celebration to be a unique reflection of your style, and I have some tips to help you achieve it. 1. Share engagement photos and a personal note

There’s nothing more you than your image and words. Use them to help your save the date stand out. 4. Make it personal with a custom illustration

Get creative with the space you have. I think it’s fun when couples personalize an envelope liner to excite guests as they open the flap. Some couples have included hand-drawn illustrations of themselves, their pets, or a location that means a lot to them. It’s possible to incorporate little custom details without creating a fully custom suite.  

5. Dress your card up with accessories
