3 Trending Birthday Party Themes for Girls

Birthday parties are a BIG DEAL for kids. And between certain ages, they often attend a lot of them. This means that, when it comes to choosing a theme for your little darling, it can feel like it’s all been done before. From trolls to llamas, the last few years have definitely seen some cute birthday party themes. But the good news is that, with a little creativity, there are always new birthday party themes for girls to be found, as well as classics that will forever be a hit. If you want to plan a themed party, here are three birthday party themes for girls that we have brought to life recently. (Of course, none of these are exclusive to girls!) Hope that they inspire.

Fairy Party. When we planned a fairy-themed birthday party recently I’m not sure who had more fun – the birthday girl or me designing it! I’ve always wanted to create a little mini town and this theme allowed that dream to come true, with an adorable fairy village (brought to life by Pop Ink Design Studio). We also had a fairy craft table where the guests made fairy wands and flower crowns. The flowers were plucked from the centerpiece right in front of them, made of both real and artificial flowers. They dined (on fairy cakes, of course!) under an arbor of twinkle lights, sitting on stools painted to look like mushrooms. Truly a fairytale brought to life!

Flamingo Party. Let’s Fla-MINGLE! If you have a little girl whose favorite color is pink, then a flamingo party is a great option. Especially if her birthday is in summer! For the décor, we used lots of shades of pink for everything from balloons to table linens and added palm fronds for a tropical touch. Our friends at Little Artist Party put together the sweetest flamingo stuffing kits for each of the guests. An activity and a favor all in one! And, of course, we had flamingo decorations everywhere, from the cutest balloon flamingos to inflatable flamingos in the pool.

Pastel Dreams. Color is always a good starting point for event design. But why have just one color when you can have a whole rainbow of them? For this incredible third birthday party, we took inspiration from pastels and created a dream world in shades of blush, lilac, mint, lemon, and baby blue. Guests arrived to find a spectacular statement balloon arch entrance with lots more balloons inside. There were tables laden with pastel treats (including cookies and cupcakes for the kids to ice and decorate). Other activities included a ‘slime-a-palooza’ (with lots of slime scents and decorations) and a tie-dye station. There was even a special pastel bouncy house!
