Summer season is just around the corner and that means wedding season in many parts of the country! I love a summer wedding here in Southern California because we can pretty much count on amazing weather for an outdoor event. And when guests are outdoors, we can create a feeling of being on vacation! There are many ways to embrace the summer season in your big day but here are a few summer wedding ideas for 2019 that I’m really excited about.

Colorful decor – everywhere! From cocktails to the colors of the linens, our clients this summer are really going bold with color. Yellows, blush and oranges are the colors of this coming season and they look great outdoors at sunset in summertime.

Coordinating cocktails. Your bar is now part of your decor too. Weaving those bright colors into signature drinks and speciality cocktails is a great way to show your celebration style.

Energetic entertainment is hot this summer. If you want to make your guests really feel like they’re on vacation, pick a sound from somewhere around the world that you love and liven up your group with something unexpected, especially for cocktail hour.

Favor selections. Seasonal favor selections are always in style, especially when it’s edible so you know your guests will enjoy them. This summer, why not give them a choice? Create a favor bar with summer flavors for your favorite treats and let your guests grab their preferred fruit filling or sweet topping of choice.

The afterparty outfit. Changing into something a bit sexier for a late night party is still hot this summer. A white jumpsuit is a lot of fun and so many bridal designers are adding them to their collections now.
