What’s Blossoming: Spring 2024 Flower Trends

When I think of the tapestry of a wedding, one of the first things that comes to mind is floral. Flowers can often be the heart and soul of a wedding’s ambiance. As each year unfolds, so do the ever-evolving trends in the world of wedding flowers. Here are the Spring 2024 Flower Trends that are surely coming to a wedding near you.

Wildflower and Garden-inspired Arrangements

A shift towards more natural and unstructured bouquets and centerpieces, often featuring a variety of flowers that mimic the look of freshly gathered blooms. These kinds of bouquets go wonderfully with outdoor garden weddings.

Incorporating Texture

Visually interesting blooms – like garden roses, anthurium, and baby’s breath – are adding texture and shape to bouquets. Including grasses, fabrics, and non-floral elements are also new and exciting ways to give bridal bouquets a unique twist.

Single-Flower Bouquets

Minimalist brides have been opting for single-flower bouquets, focusing on one type of bloom. A single tulip is the choice I see most often, but you can use any bloom to create this simple yet impactful look.

Floral Installations

Dramatic floral installations, such as hanging arrangements or flower chandeliers, remain a popular choice for creating visual interest in wedding venues. They are both breathtakingly beautiful but also offer your photographer (and guests) an incredible backdrop for photos.

Dried Flowers

Dried flowers and grasses have gained popularity for their rustic and bohemian aesthetic. They are often used in bouquets, centerpieces, and other floral arrangements. Another bonus to using dried flowers is the ability to hold on to your bouquet long-term without any of its beauty wilting away.

Bold and Vibrant Colors

While classic whites and pastels are timeless, there has been a trend toward incorporating bold and vibrant colors, including jewel tones, into wedding floral designs. Wedding florals include bold sunflowers, neon blue delphinium, and stunning anemone.

Sustainable Choices

Couples have been increasingly conscious of eco-friendly options, opting for locally sourced and seasonal flowers, as well as reusable or biodegradable floral arrangements. When all is said and done, it’s becoming more and more common for couples to spread love by donating their flowers to local assisted living facilities, charities and hospitals.

From sustainable choices to the resurgence of timeless classics, these are the flower trends you’re sure to see blossoming this spring. Want some more spring floral inspiration? Check it out – Wedding Flower Roundup: Spring Edition.
